**Both the WEEKLY Small Group course and The new Children's BEGINNER GROUP COURSE are divided into three semesters of six weeks each. Barbara Bracali, a specialist in her field, has been teaching toddlers language and music in New York City and Greenwich, CT for the past twenty-five years. We are excited to now offer her course " Italian for Tots." Please visit Barbara's page to read more about her method. The Weekly Beginner Course for ADULTS, taught by Bretta Bracali-Lundell, starts with a six-week semester (Part I) which, covers the foundation of proper pronunciation with a great deal of emphasis on speaking. PART II and then Part III (ADVANCED BEGINNER) continue with more emphasis on comprehension and ease of self-expression. Intermediate Levels I & II here emphasis is placed on increasing vocabulary and the expression of more abstract ideas. Completion of all three Beginner Courses ( Parts I -III) or their equivalent is a prerequisite for entering Intermediate Levels I and II.

Advanced Levels III, IV & V cover more sophisticated use of Italian grammar, such as the subjunctive, past subjunctive and future perfect case. Students begin to read aloud from the plays and film scripts of contemporary Italian writers. Please Note: Intermediate Level II or its equivalent is a prerequisite for entering Advanced Conversation groups. (Level III)
